Brown Squirrel Furniture Warehouse began in 1971. The business is owned by the Matthews family, who having lived in Knoxville for generations, are blessed to call it home. Doug Matthews Sr., our founder and a long-time veteran of the home furnishings industry since 1959, set the bar by example. From day one, the Matthews family has been committed to running their company with an emphasis on innovation, honesty, and integrity. The Brown Squirrel employs an extended family of associates who share the Matthews’ core business perspectives and life affirming personal values.
Mr. Brown was very nice. He was respectful as we shopped around and was right there for questions. The prices were very reasonable, the store was clean, everyone was nice. My furniture was delivered quickly and with care. The delivery guys were great too (I have the steepest driveway and they took it in stride). Definitely will be coming back as I need or want new furniture. I love my new set (including the coffee table!)

Amazing selection of furniture and the pricing is very reasonable. We had a great salesperson who didn’t push us, but was very helpful. We went back after the first visit and Bryan was our salesperson again and he made our shopping experience so easy. We will definitely be buying our future furniture needs at Brown Squirrel.
