A platform bed is a wood, metal, or upholstered bed frame with wooden slats or a solid platform upon which you can place your mattress. This integrated support means you don’t have to buy a separate box spring or foundation, as you would with a traditional bed frame.
No, the emBrace 360 Platform Bed does not need a headboard. It can be used stand alone.
Yes, the emBrace 360 will attach to any headboard. Our wide body, heavy duty headboard brackets are pre-attached and can handle virtually any hole pattern on an existing headboard with standard nuts and bolts.
Yes! The emBrace 360 Platform Bed has 9.5 inches of clearance under the side rails and 11.5 inches of space under the bed.
With the emBrace 360 Platform Bed, your mattress will sit at 12 inches off the ground. You can also use the lower height configuration to sit a box spring with a mattress at 7.5 inches off the ground. Both height configurations are achievable depending on your preference. The emBrace 360 platform bed has an extra leg set in the box that allows the bed to rise from 7.5 inches to 12 inches in height.
The embrace 360 Platform Bed can handle over 10,000lbs of stationary weight.
We have used the highest quality steel materials inside a meticulously engineered structure to ensure maximum durability and weight capacity. The leg structures fit together in a wedge style locking mechanism which increases in stability with more weight applied. We then layered panels of 3/4 inch thick plywood decking on top to add maximum coverage with no gaps. The surface is rigid, non-yielding and perfect for mattress support.
We have created a proprietary solid deck panel system that is infinitely better than slats. The reason most bed manufacturers offer slats is due to the desire to cut costs and keep the bed as inexpensive as possible. Slats often bend, bow, and break. They also slide around. The actual support value is minimum for slats and often compromise a mattress’s warranty. The emBrace 360 deck system is the most stable and durable system available. It doesn’t slide around and it provides uniform flex-free support from top to bottom and side to side.
